For the past few weeks, I have got many emails asking whether Samsung Galaxy S2 is finally the iPhone killer. Well, if you ask me it is really a monster and can overshadow iPhone in features, since it is Dual Core with 1.2 GHz processor. But, when compared to Apple’s built, there is a lot lacking in Samsung Galaxy S2 as it is made of cheap plastic and doesn’t really showcase it’s class. Lesser price than iPhone is a fact to consider but HTC does not compromise on it’s built and is priced at the same category (HTC sensation).
Now let us see some features which may or may not make Samsung Galaxy S2 ‘the iPhone Killer’. First of all, the display when compared to retina display of iPhone is below average but Samsung display is not that bad as it has 4.3 inch Super Amoled. It’s colors are rich and it brings life to pictures. Next comes the browser with flash support and 1.2 GHz processor. Samsung really makes browsing a cake walk. Apple sometimes dies when loading heavy content but Galaxy S2 is way ahead. The camera is 8mp with full HD recording so it is an utter waste of time to compare it with iPhone’s 5 mp. Though it’s camera does a good job, when compared to Galaxy S2 it is just a mere camera phone, not an outstanding one. Gaming? Well, gaming is awesome in Galaxy S2. You really need to test the graphics. It is just a breeze and the ease with which you can play games is too good. The 4.3 inch display makes it even special. So, you can see Galaxy S2 outscores in every department possible but where does it stand out? If you ask Apple’s ”crazy” customers it is just a one word answer that it is ‘APPLE’. But if you ask me personally, Apple can never overshadow Galaxy S2. Maybe possible in dreams!!!!
i think samsung is a low cost phone and do better. apple go its own way.

Agree with many points above, but with regard to gaming, I totally disagree with the above post. I guess the author has never used the iPhone for gaming. Its games are simply the best compared to any other mobile platform. Android is still not good for gaming and despite the monster specs on s2, gaming is still inferior to the iPhone. Moreover many games still doesn’t work on s2 due to the new “Mali” gpu.
Hi I agree gaming is not smooth on android since it’s a relatively new OS but its improving my point here is iPhone without all this specs is costing you more and it’s not an open source and open source is the future…. PS I have an iPhone 4 as well as a galaxy s2: -)

lol…I like how android fans rejoiced after a year of waiting for a phone that could finally take on the iPhone. Too bad its made of plastic, has a lower res screen, isn’t anywhere near the gaming experience that the iPhone offers and is only supported with a list of tech specs. I’ll watch and see if samsung bricks this one too with another one of their updates…

Can I just say that when you buy a phone you don’t normally buy it for gaming you would buy a phone for calls, messages, e-mails, internet and camera. The Iphone is good and will be good but in this case unless you are a gaming person you would chose the samsung over the Iphone !

Apple products may not get hang because they won’t allow any other softwares to be installed other than their authorised. If you don’t install all nonsense softwares in any other OS also it works simply superb… Try to understand !!!!

I had an evo and switched it for a galaxy s2. I think its a great phone. The clarity, the fact that its so easy to customize down to the font. I love the way the contacts menu is set up. (the iphone contact list is super boring and has looked the same since the first iphone came out) , android might not have as many apps as iphone but they offer more free 1s. Apple is pretty much famous for its name. Everytime an iphone comes out it will have a small upgrade but still cost an arm and a leg where when a droid has all of that, just cuz its not iphone it is looked over. Im a big fan of the new phones but apple still needs a lot of upgrading to get my attention
